ICRA National Championships 2009

If any further proof was needed that the West really is awake, and that top-quality racing really can happen away from the twin poles of Dublin and Cork, the Irish Cruiser Racing Association National Championships attracted the cream of the country's yacht racing folk to Tralee from all corners of the island. Although raw numbers were a little down on previous years the quality definitly held up. The host club pulled out all the stops providing the warm hospitality and excellent facilities which they are renowned for, and even managed to organise some warm sunny weather to accompany the good racing breeze on Tralee Bay to give the fleet four days of tight racing against the stunning backdrop of Kerry's mountain country.
