Friday

The Shannon Estuary served up another very dramatic day of sunshine and strong winds, but sadly a little too strong for racing as the gusts reached 40knts and whipping up white-horses even within the relative shelter of Kilrush Creek. Plans for a distance race starting off the pier in Crotty were first postponed, and then abandoned, by race officer Alan Crosby and the intention would be to run two races on the final day tomorrow if the weather abates.
