Dubarry Fireball World Championships 2011

Probably the highest performance dinghy that just about anyone can sail in almost any wind strength, on any style of race course, on virtually any stretch of water the Fireball has stood the test of time while other classes have come and gone. It's a boat approaching 50 years old that still thinks, and acts, like it's a skittish and energetic teenager! After a balmy trip to Barbados for the 2010 event the crews face a very different prospect off Rosses Point, with a fleet of 58 boats having made the trip to Ireland's North West and plenty of tight racing in store both close to the club and further out in Sligo Bay.
