Star European Championships 2011

In contrast to the ages and physic of the crews the Star class is the grand duke of Olympic classes, and have featured at the summer games since 1932. Irish crews have staged Olympic Star campaigns many times so it's a little surprising that this is the first time they have ever visited our shores for a major championship! That deficit in quantity is sure to be redressed though with an over-abundance of quality as the creme da la creme of the class gather in Dun Laoghaire with nineteen nations represented and more medalists and former champions among them than you'd care to shake a stick at!
