Thursday

The fleet enjoyed conditions similar to those on Sunday last, with an offshore south-westerly wind blowing from Portmarnock beach at about 4 knots. But as the wind picked up to about 6 knots cumulus clouds hung over the land, while over the sea there was a blue sky. How would the Squibs interpret this information?

After a seemingly obligatory general recall the Squibs finally got away for a close and interesting windward-leeward race, with a few shifts and variations thrown in by the breeze to test everyone and keep the fleet tightly packed.
