Misc Class
As well as the home and travelling fleets, an invitation was extended to any sailors with an interest in classic boats to compete at the event. The undoubted star of this group was Hal Sisk's immaculately restored Dublin Bay Coleen, built to a very similar design to the fleet which preceeded the Fairies on Lough Erne (but with better balast as Mr Sisk himself pointed out), she made an impressive sight cutting through the water at great speed even in light airs.
