Waterways Ireland Classic Boats Regatta 2008

Now in the third year of running, this moveable feast of classic boat sailing comes to Lough Derg Yacht Club in Co Tipperary. A curious variety of classes and heritage craft gathered from all across Ireland, including a visiting Howth 17, and they made quite a spectacle racing on the choppy waters of Dromineer Bay. Sunday proved specially memorable with the parade of sail past the club featuring many unique boats (large and small) in the display class alongside the massed fleets of SODs, Mermaids, Water Wags and other racing craft.
