Mitsubishi Youth Regatta 2009
After a number of successful years being run from the RStGYC, this year the Mitsubishi Youth Regatta spread it's wings a little to run from the National Yacht Club next door, all part of the co-operative effort between these two clubs as they built towards a joint hosting of the ISAF Youth Worlds Regatta in 2012. Although wonderfully sunny throughout the weekend, a deceptivly strong offshore breeze kept most of the younger and the faster classes stuck ashore on Saturday while the Toppers and Oppies put on a display of close-quarters racing inside the harbour. On Sunday however a much fairer wind meant everyone could get out to enjoy the fabulous May weather.
