Puppeteer National Championships 2009

Following on from the massive headline-grabbers of recent weeks and months classes around the country got back down to the serious business of deciding their regional and national champions , and non more keenly contested than the Puppeteer Class. A small keelboat with their heartland in Howth they gathered 21 crews together for a series of races scheduled over three days off Portmarnock strand. The Saturday proved to be a window of perfect sailing weather between drifting conditions and a gale, but with the sun shining and a steady breeze blowing where else would you rather be...
