DBSC Cruiser Challenge 2011
The various summer series are winding up for Dublin Bay Sailing Club, one of the biggest organisers of competitive racing in the yachting world, and mid-week racing has been put on hold until next spring. The last weekend of August brings the annual Cruiser Challenge to give the club's serious yacht racers a chance to go head-to-head over five races condensed into three days, and has also attracted a number of visitors from Howth and beyond to challenge for silverware! Much like last year's event the weather was decidedly autumnal, with a chill in the air and some very strong winds over Saturday and Sunday to really test the skills of those on the water.
