It was a case of small boats versus big waves in the Mulligan's Pharmacy Irish Topper National Championships at Waterford Harbour Sailing Club in Dunmre East - after a two and a half hour postponement ashore while overnight gales abated the fleet of 55 eventually launched at about lunchtime to go up against the infamous Dunmore Swell! Two good races followed in a strong (but moderating) breeze and damp conditions, but it was the waves which really tested the sailors' abilities both up and downwind...
