WIORA West Coast Championships 2015

The highlight of the cruiser season on the Atlantic seaboard has to be the four day West of Ireland Offshore Racing Association Annual Championship, being hosted this year by Galway Bay Sailing Club. With thirty boats from all the main centres between Clew Bay and Tralee, plus one gallant entrant from the inland sea of Lough Derg, it promises to be another entertaining and competitive week.

Although GBSC is normally headquartered at Rinville, near Oranmore, the club have commandeered the Harbour Hotel to serve as a temporary HQ, with the fleet berthed each evening in Galway Docks. With Galway city in full festival mode, and the fabled Galway Races only round the corner, this is bound to be another event to remember!
