Monday
A further two great races were sailed off Howth today. In race one, sailed in tee-shirt conditions with about 9 knots of Southerly breeze, the ebb tide had quite a significant effect pushing the fleet over the start line and accelerating them up to the windward mark from all directions!
The crews found the running legs very long as they nosed the tide all the way back to the gate, some boats opting to sail the angles while others sailed the rhumb line (which put them at a small advantage).
