Day two of the Fireball Worlds dawned sunny! However, the discussions were of the forecast for the next few days with some predicting 5 – 8 knots ESE, in stark contrast to a forecast that had been obtained by others the previous evening suggesting as little as 1 knot. As the morning progressed the wind there was disappeared prompting the flying of the postponement flag...

The race management team went afloat early but permission for the fleet to do likewise was withheld until around 12 noon, and the postponement was continued on the water. The day got greyer before a start was initiated at around 14:20 and the race finally got away following a general recall. more...

Unfortuneatly the rain closed in while the fleet were on their second lap of the course putting pay to any more photographs, and within a very short while the breeze disappeared to put pay to any more racing!
